As the Trump administration continues its cruel campaign of detentions, deportations, and disappearances targeting immigrant communities, thousands of people across the country will gather on November 1–2 for the Disappeared In America Weekend of Action.
From vigils outside detention centers to community protests and Día de los Muertos memorials, these actions will shine a light on the human cost of these policies and demand accountability for the erosion of due process, human rights, and democratic freedoms.
The Disappeared In America Weekend of Action builds on the momentum of the No Kings protests of October 18, transforming national outrage into sustained local action. Organizers say the weekend is meant to uplift the stories of those who have been detained, deported, or disappeared, and to call for an end to the criminalization of immigrant communities.
When: Saturday, November 1 and Sunday, November 2, 2025.
What: More than 120 vigils, protests, and cultural events taking place in cities and towns across the country.
Where: See full map of events here.
Who: Organized by a broad coalition of immigrant rights, faith, labor, and democracy organizations as part of the Disappeared In America campaign. Partners include Detention Watch Network, National Day Laborers Organizing Network (NDLON), The Workers Circle, Public Citizen, Women’s March, Solidarity Organizing Initiative, and many others.
Background
The Disappeared In America campaign highlights the lives and families torn apart by the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement machine and the corporations complicit in it. This weekend’s actions invite communities to come together — whether at ICE facilities, Home Depots, courthouses, or symbolic public spaces — to honor the disappeared and demand change. They are also invited to help amplify powerful images from the events, highlighting Americans united in solidarity with immigrant communities and in defense of the rule of law.
