Preserving Democracy — NYC: Weekly Vigil
These weekly gatherings bring together anyone who wants to join with others to oppose the threats to our democracy, rights and well-being from the Trump Administration's attacks. Together, we say, democracy, not autocracy! Each week will feature different speakers. Come with your sign and an electric candle or cellphone as we light the way for our democracy in this crucial hour. Look for the Workers Circle “Demand Democracy” sign when you arrive. The Workers Circle’s Trip to Yiddishland is our seven day, six night retreat. This trip features five levels of Yiddish classes, dance and klezmer, theater and music workshops, concerts, and children’s program.
All are welcome, from brand–new Yiddishists to fluent speakers to celebrate its 20th Anniversary.

Mishpachah Festival
The Museum of Jewish Heritage invites you to a day-long Mishpachah Festival focused on Ashkenazi heritage that will celebrate and explore Jewish genealogy, heritage, and immigration with JewishGen, the Museum’s Jewish Genealogical Research Division, and other partners. Overlooking the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the stories of Jewish families and experiences around the world through time will converge in New York City at the Museum of Jewish Heritage.
