Vigils to Demand Justice for Lorenzo. Justice for Johan. Justice for All. ICE Out.

On Tuesday, July 7, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Houston, Texas. He was a dad driving a work van with his crew when he was gunned down. Then on Monday, July 13, ICE unleashed the same horrific tactics, fatally shooting 26-year-old Johan Sebastian Guerrero when they stopped his vehicle in Biddeford, Maine. His wife and toddler were forced to witness his murder.

Lorenzo and Johan were beloved members of their communities who were killed on their way to work, one to a job site, the other to start his day as a food delivery driver. Both killed by ICE agents spreading fear, sowing chaos and inflicting violence.

Join us Saturday, July 25 for a Day of Action to say — Justice for Lorenzo. Justice for Johan. Justice for All. ICE Out.

We invite you to join this collective action and host a vigil in honor of all the lives lost to ICE, show solidarity with the Houston and Maine communities, support the victims' families, and demand accountability. These vigils began on July 7, and will lead up to the July 25 national ICE Out Day of Action.

Across the country we ask you to join us hosting vigils to amplify our demands: investigation, accountability, and protection for the witnesses detained in ICE facilities. This case will not be buried. We need as many cities represented as possible; host a vigil in your community, share the toolkit below, and ask your friends and family to do the same.

The Workers Circle and our coalition partners are available to connect you with local resources, provide one-on-one coaching as needed, and national amplification for your action.
