Yiddish Literature about Japan with Sheva Zucker (in Yiddish)

$25.00

For about 8 months in 1941, there was a Jewish refugee community in Kobe, Japan. We will look at some literary works produced during this brief period — memoir, poetry, and prose by such writers as Shoshana Kahan, Mordkhe Rotenberg, and Ber Rosen. This session, conducted in Yiddish, was inspired by the instructor’s recent trip to Japan.
