Course Goals: There is the Yiddish humor as it was crystalized in the Ashkenazi world over the course of hundreds of years. What will become of it in the future when the reality in Israel and across the world has so drastically shifted? We will read Sholem Aleichem, Yosef Heyblum, Moyshe Nudelman, and Dzigan and Schumacher, and also get to know the Yiddish humor of today among the Haredim and secular Jews.
