How did Yiddish intellectuals in Poland and the Soviet Union imagine the future of Yiddish literature 80 years ago? What was even possible in Europe after the khurbn? We will be reading answers to these questions by writers, scholars, and activists such as Ber Mark, Yitskhok Nusinov, Hersh Smolar, and Khayim Sloves. In addition, we will also be reading letters from and to the authors Chaim Grade and Avrom Sutzkever.
