Course Goals: To watch scenes from various Yiddish films and study select dialogues. Each class will focus on one particular film. In addition to learning Yiddish via film viewing, we will also discuss our impressions of those particular moments that capture the cultural nuances of Jewish life in that era.

Additional Info: Knowledge of the alef-beys (the Yiddish alphabet) is recommended but not required.
