When you know all the possibilities of the Yiddish verbs, you can significantly enrich your speaking and writing skills. This knowledge opens doors for a better understanding of Yiddish literature, translation, and of course also active use of the language. The workshop will help you organize all the information around the verbs. We will move from the basics to more complicated and advanced topics. To support the theory, we will look at the examples from Yiddish texts, play word games, and do creative exercises to use the grammar material in practice. Infinitive, present, past, and future tense
Imperative
Regular and irregular verbs
Periphrastic verbs
Separable and inseparable prefixes
Slavic verbs
Aspects of verbs (momentaler aspekt and others)
Tautological infinitive
Idiomatic verbal constructions

Place of verbs in sentences
