Course Goals: This course builds upon the foundations of Advanced Beginner Yiddish with a strong emphasis on building a solid base in grammar and expanding vocabulary for more fluent communication.
Course Tools: We will complete Unit 9A and continue working through Yiddish: An Introduction to the Language, Literature, and Culture (Volume I) by Sheva Zucker, and we will also begin Volume II of the series. Supplementary reading, dialogs, songs, and listening materials will be provided by the instructor.
Additional Info: This course is designed for students who have completed four or more semesters of Yiddish at the beginner level and are seeking to strengthen their communication skills in Yiddish. Prior knowledge of the alef-beys required.
