Course Goals: This introductory course is designed to develop basic skills in comprehension, reading, writing, speaking, and grammar, offering a solid foundation for learning Yiddish. This course provides a welcoming and structured environment for beginners to start their Yiddish language journey.
Course Tools: We will cover Units 1–3 of Colloquial Yiddish by Lily Kahn, supplemented with additional reading and listening materials provided by the instructor. The textbook can be purchased here; audio files, here.
