Course Goals: The class will be focused on conversational skills — you will learn to have a basic conversation in Yiddish, including greetings, introducing yourself, getting acquainted with new people, and making plans with them. You will start to learn Yiddish grammar and get acquainted with some Yiddish resources useful for beginners.
Course Tools: Materials provided by the teacher.
Additional Info: Students should learn the alef-beys before the start of the course using materials from the Yiddish Book Center’s website (here) or with the instructor’s materials (email karowegner.yiddish@gmail.com). The students will be assigned homework after each class.
