History

Founded on July 17, 1923, the Philadelphia Workmen's Circle Cemetery Committee emerged from the dedication of two committed members of the Workmen's Circle (now The Workers Circle): Louis Swerdloff and Isadore Toman. For decades, this vital organization flourished under the devoted stewardship of Milton (Milt) Kant, who helped guide its mission and growth.

Today, the Philadelphia Workmen’s Circle Cemetery Committee continues as part of the Workers Circle, with Eva Zasloff proudly serving as its current leader. Our organization remains committed to honoring the traditions and values that have guided us for over a century.
