Aaron Alexander

Aaron Alexander is a drummer, who also plays violin and has been an active and committed klezmer musician since 1988, when he first joined The Mazeltones, Seattle's first klezmer band.  Aaron has several recordings as a leader featuring his original compositions and arrangements, including Blues for Sparky, Midrash Mish Mosh and The Klez Messengers among others. He is active leading bands and performing in clubs, concerts and weddings in NYC and around the world. Aaron has taught at KlezKanada, Klez Kamp, Yiddish Summer Weimar, Yiddish New York, Krakow Festival of Jewish Culture and founded and teaches klezmer workshops at The New York Klezmer Series.
