Dr. Shlomo Groman
Dr. Shlomo Groman is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Literature of the Jewish People at Bar-Ilan University. His doctoral dissertation (supervised by Prof. Dov-Ber Kotlerman, 2023) examined scientific literature in Yiddish, with particular attention to professional terminology and its ideological dimensions. His current research focuses on modern Yiddish literature, Yiddish linguistics, effective language-teaching methodology, and Jewish multilingualism in Israel and beyond.
Dr. Groman has extensive experience teaching Yiddish and Hebrew to Israeli and international students in a wide range of educational frameworks. He has published several dictionaries and language textbooks and is developing pioneer lexicographic projects.
