Yosl Dobkin

Yosl (Joe) Dobkin is an artist, educator, and cultural organizer from Queens, NY. He works in documentary and experimental audio; makes art with children at the Workers Circle shule, Yiddish New York, and elsewhere; and writes songs in English and Yiddish. He co-produced the album Lider mit Palestine: New Yiddish Songs of Grief, Fury and Love. Yosl has been nourished his whole life by yiddishist svives, and plans to continue learning, working, and living in them indefinitely.
