Across the country at various times, Saturday, January 10 and Sunday, January 11
On Wednesday, January 7th, an American citizen, Renee Nicole Good, was killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This killing is part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against members of our communities.
The Workers Circle is joining with a broad coalition of groups across the country including Indivisible, MoveOn, the American Civil Liberties Union, Voto Latino, United We Dream, 50501, and the Disappeared in America Campaign of the Not Above the Law coalition for a coordinated ICE Out For Good Weekend of Action on Saturday, January 10th, and Sunday, January 11th, to demand accountability, honor the life lost, and make visible the human cost of ICE’s actions. Timing: Noon – 2:00 pm local time preferred; however, plan what works for your local community. All events should take place during the day, and be concluded and dispersed before dark.
All actions under this banner are nonviolent and lawful, community-led, and grounded in moral witness, public accountability, and collective care.
