In Spotlight PA: Bucks County sheriff joins movement pledging not to interfere with elections

Matt Smith, Spotlight PA

Spotlight PA covered the Workers Circle’s Talk to Your Sheriff campaign and, in particular, the Pledge for Free and Fair Elections, an opportunity for sheriffs to affirm their commitment to the Constitution, the rule of law, and elections authorized by election officials and courts.

“Having this pledge is a way to deter election sabotage in general, whether it's a directive coming from the federal government to seize ballots, or if it's not ICE, [other] people coming to the polls and potentially trying to intimidate or put the safety of election officials or poll workers at risk.”

– JJ Briscoe, National Organizer, Talk to Your Sheriff Campaign at the Workers Circle
