News and Commentary
Our CEO, Ann Toback, appeared on NY1 to celebrate the Workers Circle’s 125th anniversary and our organization’s long legacy of standing up for justice and promoting Yiddish culture.
The Workers Circle today announced the unveiling of a fully digitized and publicly accessible archive of the Call, its historic English-language newsletter published from 1929 through the twentieth century. Once distributed to more than 100,000 readers nationwide, the Call served as a vital voice for Jewish immigrants and their children as they navigated life in America and fought for democracy, labor rights, and social justice.
As the Trump administration continues its cruel campaign of detentions, deportations, and disappearances targeting immigrant communities, thousands of people across the country will gather on November 1–2 for the Disappeared In America Weekend of Action.
